Light For Asia was started by the York family in 2012. Joseph, Sai, Makaila and Joshua York will be returning to Pattaya, Thailand in service as full-time Missionaries on June 1, 2012.  While in Thailand they will distribute Christian literature to vacationing Mainland Chinese tourists who are not able to freely hear the Gospel of Jesus in their country.  They will also serve alongside Thai Pastor Sanay Srisa-ard as he ministers to the “slums” of Pattaya. Once in Thailand, the York’s have a vision of opening a coffee/bakery shop which will offer English and baking classes.  This ministry will attract non-Christians through the “secular” activities but will build relationships and “open the door” for Jesus to be shared.

 ”You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
